What’s the best way to dry out a Gore-Tex lined boot?

By following a few simple steps and guidelines, the longevity of your footwear can be extended helping save any trauma on both your wallet and the environment.

Drying any boot is pretty much the same, try and clean them as soon as you take them off.

Remove the laces and the insole to dry separately and open the tongue for maximum ventilation. Removing the laces will allow you to get into all areas of the boot including those high flex points which are prone to wear. Normally just air - drying a boot in a warm well-ventilated environment is the ideal.

If the boot is very wet, then newspaper stuffed inside the boots can help to absorb some excessive wetness initially.  Avoid any excessive heat from a direct source as it could damage them.

Wax or treat with fabric treatment once dry depending on upper material.
