January - Tal y Fan, northernmost mountain in Wales, in North Carneddau, Snowdonia.

February - Summit ridge of Ben Lomond, most southerly of the Munros, looking back to the summit, Loch Lomond & The Trossachs.

March - The north-western end of Buttermere looking toward Fleetwith Pike in the Lake District.

April - Bluebells in ancient Southwick Wood, a fragment of the medieval hunting ground Rockingham Forest in east Northamptonshire.

May - Scots Pine south of Ruigh Aiteachain bothy in upper Glen Feshie, Western Cairngorms.

June - Swindale Beck, Swindale, one of the Lake District’s most secluded valleys, on its eastern fringes.

July - Fields south of Golden Ball Hill, in the Vale of Pewsey Downs in the Marlborough Downs in Wiltshire.

August - Leaving behind Itford Farm Youth Hostel, not far from Southease Railway Station in the South Downs.

September -Llyn Llygad & Pen Pumlumon Fawr, from the East. Pumlumon, also spelled Plynlimon, is the highest point in the Cambrian Mountains, in Ceredigion.

October - Ponies above Cwm Eigiau in the Carneddau mountains of North Wales, with the peak of Pen Llithrig y Wrach in the distance.

November - Heading for Summer Hill from Worcestershire Beacon in the Malvern Hills.

December - Crossing the neck of Spurn Head, a narrow sand tidal island located off the tip of the coast of the East Riding of Yorkshire.
